  • A desire to perform quality work in sometimes challenging circumstances
  • Though not required, shop management skills would be considered an asset

URGENT Aircraft Maintenance Engineer Training Specialist

Bangladesh is one of the world’s most densely populated and least developed countries. One third of the population of Bangladesh live below the poverty line. Many people are landless and forced to live on, and cultivate, flood-prone areas. Severe flooding from the annual monsoon and cyclones pose serious threats to lives and livelihoods. Although surrounded by water, many of the waterways, especially fishing areas, are polluted by the use of commercial pesticides. A quarter of all deaths in Bangladesh are from preventable, water-related diseases. With more than 8,000 kilometres of rivers and the huge Ganges Delta, travelling to receive help is difficult, dangerous and time-consuming.

Our aircraft land in all conditions and environments, they can only do so because of the phenomenal engineering team that keep them airworthy.

We now need a Training Supervisor to develop and train local aviation maintenance staff in order to improve technical skill and knowledge across the maintenance team; facilitating those eligible to become licensed engineers, and to mentor senior staff members in their roles. In addition to assist with the overall maintenance operation.

Responsibilities:

We currently need a Training Supervisor to develop and train local aviation maintenance staff in order to improve technical skill and knowledge across the maintenance team; facilitating those eligible to become licensed engineers, and to mentor staff members in their roles. All while assisting with overall maintenance operations including maintenance on single turbine engine aircrafts, budget preparation, stock management, licensing matters, and adhering to compliance requirements.

You will need to inspire a growing multi-national and multi-cultural team; encourage good teamwork, and foster a proactive and positive safety culture. Aircraft Maintenance Engineer Chad

Chief Engineer URGENT

MAF has been serving in Chad for over 50 years through times of famine, drought and civil unrest. Working with many partner organizations, MAF provides an effective air transport service for missionaries, relief organizations and the local Church. The humanitarian and spiritual needs of this country are huge, and MAF seeks to meet these needs by operating two aircraft, a Cessna Grand Caravan and a Cessna 182.

To continue our vital work, we now require a Chief Engineer to join our team. You will effectively manage the activities of our local Approved Maintenance Organization (AMO), ensuring that our aircraft are maintained to MAF, national and international aviation standards. In this role, you will also support the training and development of local maintenance staff by mentoring/coaching and managing training plans.

Qualifications, Skills & Experience
Essential

  • Completion of approved aircraft maintenance engineer pre-employment course
  • An aptitude in verbal, non-verbal, numerical and mechanical reasoning
  • Successfully completed and obtained GCSE and A-level qualifications
  • A working knowledge of French
  • 5 years experience in aircraft maintenance.
  • ICAO Aircraft Maintenance Engineer license without type rating
  • Aircraft and engine type courses as appropriate.
  • Knowledge of health and safety principles

Desirable

  • National Aircraft Maintenance Engineers license as required
  • Team management experience
  • Turbine or reciprocating engine experience, as appropriate
  • Experience of budgeting and financial control systems

Engineering Manager

Papua New Guinea (PNG) is known to be one of the most culturally diverse and rural countries in the world. Only 18 per cent of people live in urban centers and the rest live in very remote areas with limited access to transport due to the tough terrain.

We are seeking an experienced, detail-orientated Engineering Manager to join our growing PNG team and play a key role in planning, managing and monitoring the engineering function.

We are looking for an experienced Maintenance Aircraft Engineer with at least 5 years experience, supervisory / management experience and an awareness of regional CASA regulations and advisory material.

We are hoping for the successful candidate to begin the role mid-2022

An International Civil Aviation Organization (ICAO) based aviation maintenance license is the minimum licensing requirement for all aviation maintenance vacancies. The post-holder must be able to demonstrate practical aviation maintenance experience.

They will work closely with the Chief Engineer as a part of the maintenance team working on single piston and/or turbine engine aircraft.

Duties include performing aircraft maintenance in accordance with appropriate standards and practices, supporting the effective performance and development of the aviation maintenance team and completing certification and documentation of work as required.
