For we are his workmanship, created in Christ Jesus for good works, which God prepared beforehand, that we should walk in them.
– Ephesians 2:10 (ESV)
Support the work that Karl Vanderlinde is involved in with MAF.
Karl was born and raised in a Christian home and grew in his faith through the ministry of the Abbotsford Canadian Reformed Church. Growing up he was fascinated by aviation from a young age and his interest in aviation was fueled by the fact that he celebrated his birthday around the same time as the Abbotsford Airshow weekend every year.
Growing up on a farm brought a level of ingenuity and curiosity that carried over into an interest in aircraft maintenance. Karl received his maintenance engineer training at BCIT and graduated in 2003. After gaining experience in New Zealand and in Chilliwack (BC), he joined MAF in 2008.
Since then, Karl has become a valued member of the team in Kalimantan, Indonesia where he has used his gifts, skills and training in a variety of ways. As an experienced AME he was entrusted with the maintenance on our Cessna 206s, Cessna Caravans, and Quest Kodiaks and eventually took responsibility for managing the maintenance operation of the busy Tarakan base. Today he divides his time between serving in a variety of these capacities as well as working on a team that is currently implementing our new Aircraft Maintenance Software (ASM) system globally.
Please consider partnering with Karl as he serves with MAF in Papua, Indonesia.
