Brett and Jaclyn
Joel, Katie, and Levi
For I consider that the sufferings of this present time are not worthy to be compared with the glory which shall be revealed in us.
– Romans 8:18 (NKJV)
Support the work that Brett and Jaclyn Reierson are involved in with MAF.
Brett grew up in Calgary, Alberta, in a Christian family, and was the middle of three boys. He enjoyed playing baseball, flying model airplanes, and going to a Christian kids’ camp. One summer at camp, he realized that he needed to make his own decision for Christ – not just follow along on his parents’ faith. As a result, Brett committed his life to Christ at age 14.
God drew Brett’s attention to mission aviation with a “MAF” magnet on his parent’s fridge. Following his desire to serve the Lord, Brett took aircraft structures and mechanics at SAIT in Calgary, intending to complete his flight training at a local school afterwards. Instead, God orchestrated a move to Three Hills, and Brett was able to do both his flight training and his maintenance license at Prairie School of Mission Aviation.
The last few years he has been gaining experience in Calgary both as an AME and a pilot in preparation for serving overseas.
Jaclyn also grew up in Calgary, and has one brother and two sisters. Her parents were involved in full time children’s ministry, and she gave her heart to Jesus at an early age. As she grew up, she saw God’s provision and faithfulness to her family in many ways. By the time she was a young teen, Jaclyn was convinced that God was enough to meet her own needs too.
God placed in her a heart for missions and a desire to teach and disciple others. Jaclyn earned her Bachelor of Nursing degree after high school, and has enjoyed working in all aspects of maternity care, including teaching nursing for 3 years.
Brett and Jaclyn enjoyed working together for many summers at Camp Little Red before finally getting married in 2006. They have three precious kids: Joel, Katie and Levi. They are excited to be involved with what God is doing through MAF around the world.
