Bev and Donna Preater have been married for over 30 years and have three children; Beverley, Rob and Ellie who live coast to coast in North America.
Donna came to know Christ as a fourteen-year-old. As a nurse, she specialized in Outpost Nursing, working in areas where there are no doctors. Bev spent 10 years in the helicopter industry before he came to faith while flying in Thailand. That early experience confirmed a desire to use his aviation skills to serve internationally. The call to missions opened the pathway for Bev to acquire both airplane pilot and maintenance credentials.
Bev and Donna served for 20 years in Papua New Guinea with Wycliffe Bible Translators. Bev served in a variety of roles in both leadership and in aviation, many of them side-by-side with MAF colleagues, while Donna put her nursing skills to good use.
Once they returned to Canada, Bev and Donna worked and worshiped within First Nations communities in Northwestern Ontario.
Bev and Donna served for one year with MAF in South Asia, where Bev served as the Safety Operations Manager for one of the partner organizations that MAF worked with following that country’s devastating earthquake in 2015.
Bev and Donna have recently transitioned to Alberta where they are serving at Prairie Aviation Training Centre where Bev is the Safety and Quality Manager, a vital role in the development of the aviation program at PATC. Bev and Donna look forward to building into the lives of the students at PATC.
Please prayerfully consider partnering with Bev and Donna as they serve with MAF at Prairie Aviation Training Centre.
