Melvin and Kari

Nthabiseng, Meagan, Hannah, Matthew, and Japheth

Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways acknowledge Him and He will direct your paths.
– Proverbs 3:5-6 (NIV)

Melvin and Kari Peters have completed their fourth term of service with Mission Aviation Fellowship in Africa. They were in Lesotho from 2000 to 2015 and moved to Kenya in July 2015 to start up the new sub-base in Marsabit in northern Kenya. They are looking forward to returning for another term to continue developing the sub-base and bringing the love of Christ to those living in isolation in northern Kenya.

As Cessna 206 Captain and sub-base Manager Melvin’s job will be to develop MAF’s ministry from this new location. Marsabit County has been identified as an area isolated by distance with critical humanitarian need particularly in the refugee camps along the borders of South Sudan, Ethiopia and Somalia. This new base will be better situated to serve the people living, working and doing ministry in that region of the country.

Please continue to pray for Melvin, Kari, Japheth & Nthabiseng as they take on this new challenge in Kenya and continue serving through Mission Aviation Fellowship of Canada. Please also continue to pray for Matthew, Meagan and Hannah who reside in Canada.

MAF needs couples like Melvin and Kari who are prepared and willing to serve the needs of the poor in Kenya. Consider contributing to the important work they are helping to make possible with MAF.
