Larry and Ruth

The steadfast love of the Lord never ceases; his mercies never come to an end. They are new every morning; great is your faithfulness.
– Lamentations 3:22-23 (ESV)

Larry and Ruth Nicholson have been serving with MAF in Papua New Guinea since early 1987. They have 5 children, Shane, Brett, Luke, Scott and Laura. The boys are currently living and working in the USA and Canada, and Laura is attending College in Michigan.

Larry grew up in Papua New Guinea, where his parents worked with Wycliffe. After working for 10 years in the aviation industry in Canada, he felt led to use his skills for mission work. He went to Ethiopia in 1984 to work as a Pilot/Engineer with MAF.

Ruth spent her first 17 years in Ethiopia, where her parents worked with SIM. After college in the USA, she felt an interest in serving the Lord overseas, and returned to Ethiopia as a teacher. Larry and Ruth met and married there in 1986, and then moved to Papua New Guinea.

Larry’s current role as Turbine Engine Specialist for MAF international requires a lot of travel, which he has been doing from their base in Papua New Guinea. Ruth has been serving as a Teacher in PNG.

Larry and Ruth welcome your partnership through prayer and financial support as they continue to serve the people of PNG through MAF.
