Matt & Echo

And God is able to bless you abundantly, so that in all things at all times, having all that you need, you will abound in every good work.
– 2 Corinthians 9:8 (NIV)

Matt is the son of MAF Canada missionaries Richard and Jennifer Marples. He grew up in Papua New Guinea and gave his life to Christ while living there. He first felt called to missions in the spring of 2014. He attended Prairie College where he received training to be a missionary pilot, and has since worked as a charter pilot, gaining the experience needed to join MAF and serve overseas.

Echo was raised in Alberta and gave her life to Christ at a young age. By attending and working at summer camps, Echo felt called to a life of service. She attended the nursing program at Prairie College beginning in the fall of 2014, and began her career working in medical psychiatry and general medicine. Her time spent serving those in need has prepared her well for a life of serving overseas.

Matt and Echo met at Prairie College in 2014 and were married in October 2016. They spent a year living in Peace River, Alberta before moving to Calgary in 2017. In July of 2021 their first child, Molly, was born. The Marples are excited to move deeper into God’s plan for them.

Please prayerfully consider partnering with Matt and Echo as they prepare to serve with MAF, fulfilling their calling to physically and spiritually help those in need.
