Nick and Jocelyn
Ruth and Pascal
People of Zion, who live in Jerusalem, you will weep no more. How gracious he will be when you cry for help! As soon as he hears, he will answer you. Although the Lord gives you the bread of adversity and the water of affliction, your teachers will be hidden no more; with your own eyes you will see them. Whether you turn to the right or to the left, your ears will hear a voice behind you, saying, “This is the way; walk in it.”
– Isaiah 30:19-21 (NIV)
Support the work that Nick and Jocelyn Frey are involved in with MAF.
Nick was born and raised in the small town of Hawkesville, Ontario. He spent much of his youth involved at church and was baptized during high school at Hawkesville Mennonite Church. He completed his Commercial Pilots Licence with a diploma from Conestoga College and headed to Alberta to begin his career in aviation. After flying for several years he realized there was more to life and felt challenged to dig deeper in faith. Upon fully committing his life to Christ, handing over all his dreams and ambitions, he attended a one year theology program at Heritage Bible College with plans to join MAF.
Jocelyn was born and raised in Grande Prairie, Alberta, was baptized at the age of 15, and became very involved in church at Christian Fellowship Assembly with the youth program. After high school she headed to Oklahoma to complete a discipleship program that took her all across the USA as well as Germany and Czech Republic. She became the multi-media director handling videos, pictures and sound for presentations. Then Jocelyn changed paths and volunteered doing disaster relief in Galveston, Texas after Hurricane Ike by leading short term teams in various construction projects.
Upon returning to Alberta Jocelyn went skydiving where Nick just happened to be the pilot. They ‘fell’ for each other instantly and were married.
Nick and Jocelyn joined the DRC program in 2011 and have heartily embraced their roles there. Nick is a Pilot and Program Manager and Jocelyn is the team’s communication coordinator and produces the monthly program newsletter. Nick and Jocelyn are parents to a daughter, Ruth, and son, Pascal.
