Greg grew up in a Christian home in Alberta, Canada where at a young age he had an interest in flying. After reading “The Jungle Pilot” (Nate Saint’s story) Greg developed a deep love for flying and how it could be used to advance the Good News of Jesus Christ. Greg enrolled in the Mission Aviation program at Prairie Bible College. A few weeks into his first year he met his wife Julie.
Julie was raised in the United States in a small town in Michigan with Christian parents. During her teen years she developed a heart to serve God on the mission field. This led her to attend Prairie Bible College where she met Greg.
Greg and Julie along with their three children Franklin, Isaac, and Jaclynn are currently serving with MAF in Papua, Indonesia. Greg’s main role in Papua is as a Cessna Caravan line pilot/mechanic where he uses the technical skills God has granted him. Julie also plays an important role by providing much needed support on the home front, teaching their children, caring for their home, and building relationships with other women in their neighborhood where followers of Jesus are scarce.
MAF Papua’s team vision is to provide a service that Connects people with the Gospel of Jesus Christ, Cares for their physical needs, and Cultivates personal growth through training and discipleship.
Please prayerfully consider supporting their ministry with MAF as they serve in Papua.
