Brandon grew up in Ontario, Canada, and has served with MAF in Papua New Guinea since 1998. As an Aircraft Maintenance Engineer Brandon worked in the hangar at MAF PNG’s headquarters in Mt. Hagen, in the mountainous Western Highlands, performing inspections and maintenance on MAF’s fleet. Brandon’s past years of service also included a few years as the Aviation Stores (aircraft parts) Department Manager, and more recently as Maintenance Controller. Currently he is involved in engineering and programme logistics overseeing various projects, training, and calibrating aircraft tools and equipment.
Raised in Alabama, USA, Sharlene taught in Paraguay and in the US before moving to PNG, where she served as a principal. Brandon and Sharlene met in PNG, and were married in October 2010. Upon returning to PNG in 2011, Sharlene became involved in flight operations. Currently she uses her teaching skills, providing computer program training to the national staff. Since 2017, she has also been involved in the MAF Global Disaster Response team. When a hurricane, earthquake, or other natural disasters occur, she deploys to that region to assist in getting aid to people who are in great need.
Thank you for your ongoing support and prayers for the Cokers as they continue to serve the Lord with MAF in PNG and around the world.
