Working with many partner organisations, MAF provides an effective air transport service for missionaries, relief organisations and the local Church. The humanitarian and spiritual needs of this country are huge, and MAF seeks to meet these needs by operating two aircraft, a Cessna Grand Caravan and a Cessna 182.

The MAF Chad programme provides ‘high-impact’ flying services to missionaries and organisations over the vast distances of the sahara and sahel, and among some of the most isolated and underdeveloped areas in Africa. This is an ideal opportunity for a flexible individual to join small, vibrant programme, where there is plenty of scope for involvement in a number of areas besides flying. Applications particularly sought from pilots with previous experience in IT, HR or Quality/Safety, or with some aircraft maintenance training.

MAF has been serving in South Sudan for many years, working with its partners to help provide essential food and medical supplies to this country. In the South Sudan programme, MAF operates five Cessna Caravans efficient in shuttle services and charters. To ensure we keep these in operation, we now require a Deputy Operations Manager who will actively be involved in supporting and improving existing processes at our base. Your role will also involve deputising in the absence of the Operations Manager by providing inspired leadership. and occassionally, you will also be required to to fufill flying duties.

Responsibilities
You will need to be a strong role model for the operations team members, providing encouragement, motivation and development plans and acting on behalf of the manager during leave, etc. As a member of the management team you will also have a key role in the overall management in relation to training, monitoring of staff attendance, absence and leave and ensuring high level of standards are met at all times.
