The MAF Canada Scholarship Fund
Established in 2004, the MAF-Canada Scholarship Fund was created to
award a deserving student who has demonstrated excellence in
post-secondary preparation for a full-time career in mission
aviation.
Since 2004, scholarships totaling $55,000 have been
awarded to pilot and aircraft engineering students.
The Guelph Lakes Golf & Country Club is located in a beautiful country
setting and is well known for its excellent grounds and banquet
facilities. Avid golfers and novices
alike will find the course equally challenging.
Even if you don’t golf, please make plans to join us following the
tournament for a celebration banquet and presentation of tournament
prizes.

Tickets are only $130 and include golf, a power cart, banquet,
door prize, and $50 tax receipt. Banquet-only tickets can be purchased for $30.

Hole Sponsorships
Hole sponsorships are welcome and encouraged.
Sponsorship of a hole entitles you to a tax receipt for the full
amount of the hole sponsorship (less $75 for your own golf & banquet
package assuming you are participating).
If yours is a corporate sponsorship, you can also display signage
during the day and/or promotional materials at the banquet following the tournament.
A foursome (hole sponsorship) is $700 and includes a $620 tax
receipt to you
(assuming you are playing - otherwise your tax
receipt would be for the full amount).

Dress Code
The Guelph Lakes Golf & Country Club have asked us to honor their
established dress code during our event.
Acceptable clothing consists of
long/short-sleeved shirts with collars, dress shorts with short or
long socks or neat casual trousers. Cross Trainers or golf shoes
with soft spikes or rubber soles must be worn.
Unacceptable clothing consists
of T-shirts without collars or with excessive advertising, tank
tops, jogging shorts, jeans, street shoes, slippers, sandals or flip
flops.
The dress-code for the banquet is casual.
Cancellation Due to Weather
Any decision to cancel the tournament due to inclement weather will
be made at the discretion of the management of the Guelph Lakes Golf
& Country Club. In the unlikely event that the tournament is cancelled on
the day planned, every effort will be made to reschedule it for another day.
Should the tournament be cancelled due to weather, the banquet will
continue as scheduled.
Golf Day Registration
Registration is from 11:30am - 12:30pm, with a shot-gun start
beginning at 1:00pm.

Erika Forbes
2007 Scholarship Winner
Erika Forbes is a student
at Prairie School of Mission Aviation. As the daughter
of missionaries, Erika has a passion for passion for
missions. She and her husband hope to one day
serve on the field together.
Phil Henderson
2007 Scholarship Winner
Phil
Henderson is an MK who experienced first-hand the need
for mission aviation. He is currently enrolled in the
Associate of Arts in Mission Aviation program at Prairie
School of Mission Aviation, has obtained his Private
Pilot’s License with a night rating and is studying to
write the Transport Canada Commercial written test. He
and his wife Merilee look forward to serving one day as
a missionary pilot family.

Ball
2006 Scholarship Winner
Chris Ball of
Tillsonburg, Ontario, is a flight instructor at the
Prairie School of Mission Aviation in Three Hills,
Alberta, where he graduated in April 2006 with an
Associate of Arts degree in Mission Aviation.
Brent
Ristau
2006 Scholarship Winner
Brent Ristau of Lac La Biche, Alberta, is a student in
the aviation flight management program at Confederation
College in Thunder Bay, Ontario.
Brent earned a Bachelor of
Arts degree from the University
of Alberta and completed a year of Bible training at
Prairie
Bible College.
Andrew
Campbell
2006 Scholarship Winner
Andrew Campbell of Winnipeg is a student at Providence
College and Theological Seminary in Otterburne,
Manitoba.
Andrew is enrolled in the missions track of
a Bachelor of Arts program with aviation major.
April
Lanigan
2006 Scholarship Winner
April Lanigan of Welland, Ontario, has completed a Bible
degree at Prairie
Bible College in Three Hills, Alberta, where she also
obtained her private and commercial pilot’s licences.
Nathan
Driediger
2005 Scholarship Winner
Nathan is currently working
as an aircraft maintenance apprentice at the Prairie
School of Mission Aviation, after which he would like to
earn his instrument flight (IFR) and instructor ratings.
He already holds a commercial pilot’s licence.
Nathan has served as a youth
leader at his church and has participated in short-term
mission trips to Mexico and Papua New Guinea. His wife
Annie is also training to become a missionary pilot.
Jason
Marsh
2005 Scholarship Winner
Jason hopes to work as a
flight instructor upon completing his IFR and instructor
ratings at PSMA. Parents to two sons, eight and six years
old, Jason and his wife Melanie teach Sunday school at
their church in Three Hills.
In LaGlace, Alberta, before
the family moved to Three Hills, Jason served as a
volunteer fire fighter. He has also volunteered in three
Habitat for Humanity builds and a Salvation Army
fundraising project.
Dallas
Doerksen
2004 Scholarship Winner
Dallas was the recipient of
our first $5,000 scholarship.
Dallas graduated from the pastoral program at Peace
River Bible Institute before he and his family moved to
Three Hills, Alberta, in May 2004.
By the following September, he had earned his private
pilot’s licence at Prairie Bible College, on his way to
fulfilling his dream of serving as a missionary pilot.
